Reviews have slowed to a trickle, probably because readers see most of their points already covered. But here’s two that have come in in the last month:

Very informative and made me aware of myself as well as the person I have in my life and where we may both be coming from and things that can be worked on. There is hope.

Brilliant, helps you understand what is going on in that kind of relationship

  1. Extremely helpful book! I was sadly, but wisely able to RUN away. It was a terribly damning experience full of lies, deceptions, triangles, distancing and a strange need to be in my space nearly daily. However, being physically in my space, but emotionally elsewhere never left me feeling safe. I tried for 15 months with the last 4 being fully aware of the Attachment Style issues.

But it is impossible to feel safe in the presence of someone who NEVER considers your feelings, needs, thoughts or concerns. Thank you for your wonderful book. I am 3 months out from the breakup, but still wounded by the experience. Locking in to facts and releasing fantasies has been helpful, but most importantly, I look forward to using what I have learned about ME as I move forward in my life. Thank you!

    1. No one is prepared for a relationship like that, so I’m glad my book helped you see that you need to get out when your partner has no commitment to caring about your feelings. Comments like yours are truly appreciated and keep me writing!

  2. This book has changed my life. I am in a relationship with a dismissive-avoidant. In fact, we got back together after we got divorced a few years ago (sic!). I had to read some of the passages twice as I could not believe that one could describe certain behaviours and situations so aptly without having ever been to our house! 😉
